In the latest Sonic State Sonic Lab review, host Nick Batt takes a look at the Dreadbox Hypnosis Time Effects Processor, a retro-inspired audio effects unit.
The Dreadbox Hypnosis features:
- Analog Spring Reverb with a 3-Spring Tank and a Unique Pitch Modulation Circuit
- Stereo Analog BBD Chorus-Flanger with 3 LFO Waves
- Stereo Digital Delay with 3 Delay Types and Freeze Function
Details are available at the Dreadbox site.
Meh no midi and way overpriced, I’ll pass.
This is so big
Why have a window on the springs if you cant reach in and stroke them? 🙂
I love the things u can do with it, it takes you places
Anyone understand why Nick keeps referring to hard-to-source ICs? Did dreadbox give this as a reason for the price?
Also, if you are just after spring reverb, I built the one from surfybear and it is a lot of fun. Came to about 50 GBP. Not got the coloured light though.
Lost me at mono spring reverb…my 10 buck amp does that. Stereo on that too would have made this an epic pedal! If this pedal was full mono and aimed at guitarists and cheaper I could understand and would be fine with it. It is more aimed at keyboard players though and such a shame that the spring reverb isn’t stereo as well….even of it cost extra it would be worth it.
