  1. If you follow the threads on this site, Behringer took a lot of heat for teasing prototype circuit boards for upcoming products. This takes it a step further- a breadboard prototype of an upcoming synth. Next, we will see a photo of a drawer full of resistors and ICs, with a promise of the next synth.

    1. “Behringer took a lot of heat for teasing prototype circuit boards ”

And how has that worked out for them? They’re selling a boatload of synths.

People will criticize anything Behringer does, and criticize entry-level gear, in general.

But, at the end of the day, a lot of people want good, affordable synths, and that’s what Behringer and IK are making.

      1. I agree with everything that you are saying. I’m a fan- own a Behringer Model D and love it. My only point was that IK is pitching a breadboard prototype, which would be several iterations prior to a PCB prototype.

        1. This prototype wasn’t made the day we posted it. We posted knobs, then this breadboard prototyping, PCB coming soon then… It isn’t a realtime operation, in other words, you’re seeing the evolution of the product right up until announcement at Superbooth.

      2. Breadboards aren’t entry-level gear. It is a symptom of the Kickstarter mentality. One has to wonder if any of these fly-by-night company’s founders ever worked in product development in a day job. Vaporwear to me at least makes your company look less innovative.

  2. I’m hoping it’s a drum machine, sampler in the Uno format. That could be a powerful, compact set up that still offers a big step up from what you could do with something like the Korg volcano.

  3. The new synth is actually being launched next week at Superbooth, these are old pictures from the development.

  4. Behringer took heat for posting Roland’s circuits and Sequential’s circuits. IK are making original products.
