This video captures a live performance by Daniel Pugh of Philip Glass’s Piano Etude No. 2.
While the piece is one of a collection of piano works by Glass, Pugh’s arrangement highlights the form and voicing using different synthesizer sounds.

Very nice! Great choice of music 🙂 thank you!
Really nice, I didn’t know the piece – thanks for sharing!
A classic Glass piece… very well done !
Yea. Nice little example of Glass’s minimalism. It’s effective at creating an emotional space.
What a coincidence– I learned how to play this piece about a month ago. Very fun to play. It really sounds good on a nice acoustic piano. This video gave me an idea, though. Next time that I do a solo gig, I will play this using a second keyboard for the low and high notes. By the way, the Phillip Glass Etudes are excellent all the way around. Lots of polyrhythms (3 vs 2).
Nicely done, Daniel. Its also a welcome change from just dance bits or 80s covers. Way to put synths to work in the name of something more elegant than usual!
