Moog shared this video, capturing a live performance by electronic composer and experimental musician Ami Dang.
Dang performs with an improvisation for sitar and synthesizer in the Moog Sound Lab, with accompaniment from a pair of Moog Grandmothers, a DFAM, and a MF-104M Analog Delay.
Dang has a new album, Parted Plains, featuring strictly sitar and electronics. You can preview the album below:
Very nice alchemix between different worlds!
I didn’t think this particularly went anywhere. Nice concept but meh overall.
Appreciate the talent and JMO, but sitar has never been my sonic thing on any level.
I love sitar but this is not how to properly play a sitar…
