This video captures a live performance by composer & ethnomusicologist Rebeca Nayla at the Yamaha booth at Superbooth 2019.
Nayla comes from a classical music background, but ‘became interested in electronic music through the sonority of 90’s video games’.
Technical details: Nayla’s performance features a MODX and reface DX.
sounds like a general midi file. I guess stuck using Yamaha digital gear not much can do.
Go tell that to Steve Pocaro and David Paich lol
..it’s in the context of the style of music being done. I have a MODX and love it, but it sounds ridiculous trying to do this style of music with it… sound like a general MIDI file.
General MIDI file…. I think your audio chain is getting piped through your snobbery module.
Looks & sounds like she’s modifying the FM sounds throughout the performance
I found these morphing rhythmic layers rather interesting.
Wow, this was super. I normally hate this stuff. Like paint drying. Rebeca rocks! Bravo!!!
so boring
