In the latest Beats & Bytes episode, synthesist Enrique Martinez demonstrates how to use the Novation Peak with a ROLI Seaboard Rise controller.

Martinez demonstrates how you can use the Rise to control expression on the Peak. The combination allows for types of per-note expression that aren’t possible with a traditional controller.

The Seaboard allows for 5 types of expression – Strike, Press, Glide, Slide, and Lift – which you can map to control various aspects of your sounds. For example, you could use pressure to open up your VCA and add vibrato, so that you have continuous control over the volume of each note of a polyphonic performance.
