Sunday Synth Jam: Glownely Glow-Lonely shared this unusual modular synthesizer cover of the easy listening classic Close To You, by The Carpenters.
Here’s what they have to say about the technical details:
“The voices are Plaits, Rings, Elements, and STO. Hermod is the main sequencer, but everything is being clocked by Marbles to create a push pull and jitter to the sequence. “
Very cool. It’s the haunted version from the realm of the beyond.
Specials from the tomb. Songs from dead people only. How morbide lol.
Funny cover anyway.
Lovely
Lol .. that’s so cool! I little too wet for my taste .. but still very interesting.
Just in time for flu season: a song that sounds like a huge dose of Nyquil. Hilarious and nicely rendered. I’d like to hear just a bit more like this from modular players. It makes the approach feel more appealing to us holdouts. Way to patch!
Very nice!

Well there’s an odd choice these days for electronic interpretation! Sure beats a bunch of useless, pointless R2-D2 BS.
