  1. Stupid concept though. This pushes the preset paradigm to its extreme, by actively hiding what’s behind the hood until the user decides to reveal it. This kind of “instant gratification” thing, as the designer calls it so fittingly, just pushes people to be lazy and not actually learn and try to understand what makes a synthesised sound good to them or not. I’m not against presets and I do use some myself, but always as a starting point to tweak and add my own twist on it.

      1. That makes it even worse. There’s enough free preset-synth plugins out there already, and there’s enough EDM tracks by so-called producers overflowing the market with the same sounds over and over again.
