Too bad the lead photo in the main view cut off her face. Joni mitchell rocks. Love that smile!
She is one the rare colossal giants of music! She deserves any honor. One of those artists who shows, with everything she does, that magic is real.
Well said, fellow admirer. Share the love!
My favourite musician, bar none. One of the few truly original, truly authentic artists, describing the human condition in all colours of the rainbow, from jovial to heart-wrenching. Joni for me equals timeless WISDOM.
I’ve always enjoyed her work, but I got an added thrill when Rod Steiger did his televangelist bit on “The HIssing of Summer Lawns.” Whoa! Creative choices like that always make an artist stand out more. She’s brilliant.
And don’t forget her Minimoog work on The Jungle Line
Joni Mitchell never lies.
Hejira and Mingus are among the most beautiful releases to have ever graced humanity.
I really love Hissing Of The Summer Lawns as well which is among her most expansive and experimental in the early period.
Joni is one of my all-time faves in music both performance and composition, her music is a vehicle for amazing energies and thoughts, true music.
