Pricing and Availability

I bought 3 weeks ago v2 🙁
Peter, why not try to get a refund? I’m curious to know how it goes. info:

going to wait for a sale – it looks like it fixes a lot of things but don’t want to pay full price for an upgrade
Only Steinberg can charge again for the same app in the apple store ?
But why wonder if they ask for a fee every 6 months for a Pro update…
Err, no. It’s not the same app, it is ver.3 and Steinberg asks a fee for their desktop Pro version updates every 1 year not 6 months.
yeah – I am going to stick with 2 until a sale happens. – it is essentially an upgrade but sold as it’s own purchase
At first I also wasn’t sure whether I shouldn’t wait for the next sale. But then I realized how amazing it would be to have this running on the IPhone. And I have to say it is even better than I thought. So much fun on the go!
This is a completely other level of Cubasis and mobile recording, and I would be ready to pay for getting an iPhone version alone, and especially one with such a great UI on limited screen!
If people aren’t willing to pay such prices, they won’t see any significant development they could profit from, while making and recording music. My understanding for such kinds of complaints is quite limited generally.
I do think, that very recent Cubasis buyers should profit from a grace period though.
One of the features claimed here is that existing owners of Cubasis 2 who have the in app purchases like effects plug in bundles can transfer them to Cubasis 3.Well I purchased Cubasis 3 yesterday and found this was not the case .Other people have reported this fault also. Please Steinberg sort this out!
This has been sorted out: you first have to update Cubasis to version 2.8.2, then you can transfer.
Steinberg should make an app bundle of cubasis 2 & 3, in order to get a discount for us loyal v2 users. Not upgrading until I see a sale myself.
Same for me!
+ 1 for discount price for cubasis 2 owners. Not free, it’s ok, but something 30% to 50% discount would be fair and also A GOOD MARKETING STRATEGY considering that 90% of the comments in the various you tube videos and info sites are existing owners blaming, which are not going to buy this.
Cubasis 2 is a very good tool, Cubasis 3 looks like a nice upgrade, but much points just on GUI optimization…..also if they claims that 100% of the app is rewritten, basically does 99% same things of cub2, with a better GUI and some little extra.
The fact that is usable now on iphone is pointless, simply becouse iphone owners are, by definition, NEW owners and not cubaisis 2 users! (and I still do not see any scenario where an existing ipad user may desire to switch to iphone, other than make a try..)
Also going to wait to upgrade.. no need to take a risk on it until we see it also performs better..
This is great because everyone that makes music on cubase has an iPhone…… Not.
Anybody that’s serious about mobile music making knows not to get an android device.
