Synthesist José Luis Amores shared this video for Te recuerdo, a piece that’s built around a live looping performance with the Synthstrom Audible Deluge that’s augmented with strings and synth.
Here’s what he has to say about it:
“I wanted to try my new USB MIDI Foot controller with the Deluge’s looper and recorded my piano, using the built-in mic of the Deluge.
These days I am experimenting a little bit playing inside the piano, touching the strings, to get new sounds from it and ended with a simple melody played with my nails. Maybe, I should have used a pick, like the guitarist do, to have more sound but…
Later on, I decided to add some strings with Cinematic Studio Strings, and finally even added some synth lines with my Elektron Analog Keys.”
Nice! Sounds like a song from the French electronic music duo ‘Air’
Lovely chord progression. Nice flowing vibe.
Thanks for your comments. Feel free to ask me anything if you want.
Beautifully done. Its a fine example of how little gear it takes to come up with something memorable. Best use of a looper so far this month! Your finger-picking style on piano was perfect, BTW, heh.
very nice
