Bitwig has released Audio FX – Space, Time, Color, a free collection of audio effects presets for Bitwig Studio.
Here’s what they have to say about it:
Discover 150+ Audio FX presets that each cast a mood onto any audio or virtual instrument output. Explore a large selection of modelled reverbs (built from the ground up in The Grid) and spread your vocals through amazing spaces. Chop your rhythms up and get creative in the time domain using repeater and stutter effects. Give your bass extra punch, add width and color to any sound, or crunch things into glitchy destruction.
Some presets add a unique character to common effects, while others use sequenced modulations to turn an incoming sound into a new rhythmical texture. And as always, eight top-level macros help you quickly find the range of each preset, and then season it to taste, choosing as much — or as little — depth to make the part stand on its own beside your other tracks.

Superb freebee – some of the (grid based) FX are up there with commercial VSTs…really good stuff, they sound great and you can take them apart/re-engineer and learn from them.
Well said!
Some people may prefer the UI of commercial VSTs. Having just a few macros to control the FX may not sound like it’d be enough. Still, these effects sound great and can become the basis of deeper learning about these things work.
They’re pretty diverse too. Going from one preset to the next can spark quite a bit of inspiration as they may not have anything to do with one another.
Something which could be useful is if these presets had their own presets or if, somehow, we could organize them more precisely. With 150 of them, it’s a bit long to run through all of them and the list doesn’t say much until we click on them.
