As the scope of the Coronavirus Pandemic becomes clear, more organizations have announced changes to adapt to the requirements of social distancing.
Movement – the Detroit electronic music festival – has announced that it’s postponing the May event to September. “Due to the developing COVID-19 restrictions and our ongoing communications with State and City officials, it is with a great sense of responsibility that we have rescheduled Movement 2020. Movement 2020 is now scheduled for September 11, 12 and 13. All current tickets are valid for the September dates.”
The Bob Moog Foundation has announced that it will temporarily close the Moogseum, located in downtown Asheville, NC, until March 31, 2020. The closure comes in response to a call for Americans to practice social distancing to help “flatten the curve” of an anticipated widespread Coronavirus outbreak.
“Given the critical importance of early self-isolation in stemming the spread of COVID-19, we believe it is our moral imperative to protect our staff, as well as our visitors and our community by temporarily closing the Moogseum to the public,” stated Executive Director Michelle Moog-Koussa. “During this time, the work of the Bob Moog Foundation will continue, with our staff working remotely to advance our projects. While the considerations around the spread of the virus remain fluid, we will continue to reassess when we will reopen the Moogseum.”
Steinberg has announced that it is adapting by having its staff work from home.
“The safety and health of our colleagues and employees is our top priority. Therefore, we have recommended that all employees who are able to work from home should do so. This applies to all locations.” They add, “If an announced update or product is delivered later than planned, or if we need a little longer in service and support, rest assured we will do everything possible to minimize any delays.”
The silence is deafening, it’s really starting to pile on…
…wishing the world the best!
The Silence Is Deafening is a good song by Napalm Death.
