Developer hammondeggsmusic has released six new reverb effects for the Korg Multi-Engine synthesizers, including the Prologue, Minilogue XD & NTS-1.
Cathedral, Theatre, Haze and Mist are four new deep reverbs that use a low pass filter (Cathedral and Theatre) and a high pass filter for Haze and Mist. The minimum reverb times are half for Theatre and Mist, but all reverbs allow a maximum of ‘infinite’ reverb time.
Breathe (and “sniff”) are similar, but use more modulation in the reverberators, and the filter frequency is controlled automatically via signal presence.
Pricing and Availability
The effects are available now as free downloads; donations are suggested to help support future development.
the demos all sounds hilariously like new age ambient schmaltz, but these sound like gorgeous reverbs to have – and totally nuts to make them available for free. all this in-depth tinkering on the korg machines makes them increasingly appealing
Thank you hammondeggsmusic
They’re just what’s missing – long smooth luxurious reverbs. Nice!
I’m really loving haze and cathedral on my pro16. Smashing!
Love my Prologue, but don’t love the lack of controls for the built-in reverbs. I’d love to see Korg update the Prologues with official reverbs in the style of what Valhalla does, with more control over the reverb sound.
These reverbs look like another set of great freebies from hammondeggmusic. Looking forward to giving these a try tonight after work!
500,- euro soundeffects on a 500,- euro synth…amazing
Why the Korg Minilogue-XD costs so much in Brazil?
I can’t even imagine how I will buy it. I bet the stores that sell it will stop selling because nobody buys it.
Does anybody know how to upload these reverbs on a Korg NTS-1? I can’t figure out why the librarian app on the Mac does not recognize the hardware when connected
