Native Instruments has introduced Stradivari Violin, a new Kontakt instrument that ‘captures the authentic sound of a one-of-a-kind instrument from the world’s most renowned violin maker, Antonio Stradivari.’
The rare instrument from 1727 was sampled in the Auditorium Giovanni Arvedi in Cremona, Italy, the town where the instrument was built. It was chromatically sampled, with phase-aligned velocity crossfades, performance-captured vibrato, 20 articulations, and mixable mic positions.
Pricing and Availability
Stradivari Violin is available now for Kontakt 6 and the free Kontakt 6 Player, with an intro price of $149 USD through July 13th, 2020 (normally $199).
I’m done buying from them after learning how awful they are to employees.
Ditto
Dude built 1100 violins, there are an estimated 600 surviving ones and 224 of them are accounted for (thanks Google). So not really “one of a kind” 🙂
Neh, I rather save a bit more money and buy the real analogue Stradivarius deal.
My composition “Hillbilly Square Dance Hoe Down” finally has a voice!
You lost me as a customer when you made it so I couldn’t reinstall old versions of software I paid for on my legacy computers. Go F yourself NI. You will NEVER get another $ from me.
+1
I agree, no more money to NI, NEVER!
the examples don’t even sound anything like a real violin lol. not even close. Poor NI.
