Novation shared some new videos, offering a quick intro the recently introduced user Wavetable Editor for its Peak and Summit synthesizers.
The Editor, which is part of the Novation Components browser-based platform, features drawing tools and a Live Edit mode, so you can draw your own oscillator shapes and preview them in real time. An audio import feature lets you load in your own audio to be used as the oscillator waveform.
The first video, above, takes a look at recording and using custom user wavetables. The second video, below, demonstrates how you can use additive synthesis to create custom wavetables for the Peak & Summit:
The Wavetable Editor is available for free as part of Novation’s Components site.
How many user wavetable memory slots are available on the Summit?
10 user wave slots
If I could recreate the Gorgizmo preset from the Kawai K5000 on my Peak, I would be most pleased 🙂
Anyway. Great stuff, Novation!
