In his latest video, synthesist Hainbach shares his experience exploring the Hohner Electronium, a German 1950’s vacuum tube synthesizer in accordion form.
The Electronium ‘came to me at the end of 2019 and worked for all of one day. It took me some to time to find a reliable tech that could fix it and also mod it,” he notes. “Now it boasts a send/return, so we can hear the direct sound of this gorgeous 1950s synth and add FX. And add FX I did.”

Hainbach is the supreme sound freak! Respect.
Look, its a prehistoric Osmose! Beautiful demo. Yes, its an oddity, but he’s right to call it powerful. I could reproduce those TONES pretty readily, but playing them in this form is a semi-lost art. Its a living MPE monster, from way back when. Fascinating.
