Synthesist Jexus / WC Olo Garb shared this no talk, all sounds demo of the Modal Argon8 synthesizer.
Jexus notes, “I did not use additional FX in the demo, all the delays, reverbs, flangers, panning, deformations and other effects are part of the Argon engine / mod matrix.”
The Argon8 sound library of 180 original patches is available directly from Jexus.

Shutting up and playing is what I’m all about when it comes to the gear, but many reviewers today can’t be bothered to learn how to finger simple melodies with one hand. And I’m sick of hearing, “I’m no keyboardist.” You mean they have hours and hours of time to put fancy visualizations in their videos but no time to learn some simple melodies? I’ve unsubscribed from all except those who at least make an effort to play something musical, even if it is very simple. These guys that go on talking forever without hardly any sounds – it’s like, what!? Loads of people in the comments praising them, too. I don’t get it.
Ya man, you tell them! If you’re not bashing your head against your Eurorack to make sounds, you might as well give up.
Exactly. The most annoying ones are those that treat synths like drum machines or giant arpeggiators. On the other hand, Jexus’ amazing: I was raptured when I first heard his MS2000 demo and patches!
For someone who claims to be into „shutting up and playing“, who sure do complain a lot.
I don’t care if I see him playing melodies with his fingers. These demos (and all of his others) do a great job of showing off the sound possibilities of the synths. It’s not a concert where he has to impress us with his playing skills.
He treats sound as better clay than most anyone I’ve heard. If you’re about to release an instrument like the Hydrasynth, you should hire Jexus to do a bank for it. He’s creatively disturbed, but he should also be doing movie soundtracks. The guy has an amazing ear.
“I sense a disturbance in the Force…” Relax, that’s just Jexus playing a synth. 😉
Dx7 x Ultranova = Argon 8?
Sounds great.
