In this video, via Perfect Circuit, synthesist Sarah Belle Reid demonstrates multidimensional synth control, using the new Buchla Easel Command semi-modular synth and the Sensel Morph (with the Buchla Thunder overlay).
Reid also worked with Sensel to make a free Ableton Live instrument that uses samples from the Buchla Easel Command and is designed to work with MPE control from the Sensel Morph.

Still no memory storage on the Buchla. Maybe in 2025.
Thats what the card slot does – it’s a physical patch memory.
But updating this to add modern patch memory – like updating any classic analog synth to add patch memory – would require completely redesigning the synth to use encoders.
If you’re going to update a synth design to add patch memory, it only makes sense if you’re going to create an updated design that does more – like Moog did with the Voyager.
Yeah I get that. Syntrx is looking better and better.
Syntrx looks amazing to me.
The Syntrx seems like it’s to the Synthi as the Voyager is to the Minimoog
I want this next to my syntrx, so I can be a venerable hero to all 10 fans of avant garde noise music worldwide.
