Synthesist Steve Roach let us know that SoundQuest Fest, described as ‘an international gathering of sonic innovators and ambient architects’, is scheduled for March 26-28, 2021.
For fans of ambient and space music genres, SoundQuest Fest offers a unique opportunity to see and hear masters at work. The event, created by Roach, evolved from a live festival, originally held in Tucson, Arizona in 2010.
The free electronic music festival – to be broadcast via Youtube – will feature a continuous flow of streamed ambient music performances, ‘audio-video wonder worlds’ and more.
“The Soundquest Fest mission is to create 3 days of global connection, togetherness, and inspiration,” notes Roach, “through the power of sound and vision, during this consequential and unique moment in time.”
This year’s event will feature a who’s who of ambient and experimental electronic music artists, including:
- Robert Rich
- Steve Roach
- Michael Stearns
- Erik Wøllo
- Ian Boddy
- Jeff Greinke
- Chuck van Zyl
- Serena Gabriel
Chris Meyer (Alias Zone) - Nathan Youngblood
- Will Merkle
- Caldon Glover
- Tony Obr
- Howard Givens
- Madhavi Devi
- Craig Padilla
It will also feature audio-visual sets by Bluetech, Noctivision and Daniel Pipitone.
A schedule of events is available at the SoundQuest Fest site.
