Developer Cem Olcay let us know that they’ve released a new AUv3 MIDI Sequencer app, SnakeBud, that’s inspired by the Make Noise René Eurorack sequencer module.
SnakeBud is a 16-step sequencer that lets you traverse the steps in many ways – not just moving from step 1 to step 16 sequentially, but also via ‘snake’ patterns through the grid.
‘Probability and randomization features give you additional tools for creative sequencing.
Features:
- 16 step sequencer on a 4×4 grid
- 56 snake sequence patterns
- unlimited number of patterns
- 90+ AU parameters
- 40+ scales
- Note/Velocity/Gate/Probability/Toggle for each step
- Randomizer
Pricing and Availability:
SnakeBud is available now for $4.99 USD.
No video demo? Surely that’s a minimum when launching a new product, it’s not exactly wizard to do compared to developing the software!!
I tried typing “snakebud” into the YouTube search field, and you won’t believe what happened next…

Search “SnakeBud” on YouTube maybe? Not too difficult…
Personally, when I launched my iOS apps, I always made a video demo, even in the days before Apple supported video demos on the AppStore. Really basic stuff.
It’s also just $5. We should probably keep everything in perspective.
Yes and for $5 it’s pretty awesome!
Wow, $5? there goes my coffee and donut lol
Very nice App….downloaded and away I went….used it in AUM….very nice and easy to use.
It seems like some developers are leaving it to some YouTube demo’ers to do their work. I don’t know if the YT “personalities” get any other compensation besides a free copy and fodder for their channel.
Looks like that works for both of them then 🙂
wish it was a VST
your wish is true since a few years 😛 get reaktor (VST) and you have 1000s of things like that…
Everbody here is talking about what a great deal this is.
I really think you should check this 😉
