Thereminist Carolina Eyck shared this spooky live performance of the theme from Dark Shadows, by Robert Cobert.
Dark Shadows was a sort of vampire soap opera that aired from 1966-1971. Story lines featured vampires, witches and zombies, and spanned several centuries and multiple timelines
Cobert’s score built on the musical tropes of horror cinema, especially the dramatic opening theme, scored for theremin and orchestra.
And I thought we’d finally put Barnabus to rest decades ago
Never he still lives on for eternity.
Great work Carolina!!
Still watching the episodes. Love it. Thank you
Completely awesome Carolina! Dark Shadows will live for eternity. Also continuing to watch it over & over again. ??
Love Dark Shadows. Wife and I are on our third time watching the entire series.
When I was 14, I had the opportunity to meet everyone on Dark Shadows and helped Jonathan Frid answer his fan mail. Can’t believe my parents allowed me to travel to Manhattan from Queens to be part of Dark Shadows on a weekly basis. The music lives on!
Love Dark Shadows and presently watching all episodes. So glad we got to meet Jonathan Frid in person and had a chance to talk to him as well when he came to a local college to recite poetry.
Wow! That was awesome! Barnabas lives on!!!
