Novation recently announced a major firmware update for its Summit and Peak synthesizers.
Firmware v2.0 adds a variety of features that expand your synthesis options, including stereo controls, modulation, unpredictability and effects.
In this video, Novation synth guru Chris Calcutt (aka -CALC-) takes a deep dive into the Summit and Peak Firmware Update v2.0.
Focusing on Summit, -CALC- demonstrates the new stereo capabilities in Firmware 2.0, and how they can be used to great effect (headphones recommended). The update also new controls, modulation, unpredictability, and effects.
Amazing set of new features comes with this update, but also a voice allocation bug (worse than already existed in previous firmware). Waiting for Novation to resolve this bug until I update my Peak….
