nothing spells “I love illiterate people” more than an instructional video!
Nothing spells encouraging others to join the modular community like a well produced instructional video.
you mean a well produced commercial. i like Thomann it’s probably the best shop but in the end it’s still a shop that tries to sell you synths and that’s the end of it.
Go look at the Thomann Synthesizers YouTube channel. There is much more that just sales pitches for gear that they sell.
If someone loved poetry but couldn’t read would you mock a person for trying to teach them?
I think the problem is more about there being too much content. Too many introductions. Too many guides. At what point does this endless stream become redundant? Most videos these days already are a waste of time because they’re stretched thin with content. So people jumping judgementally onto this, seems like a honest expression of what content creation has become. As with mamy things (products) these days, I feel there needs to be a culling before things can go forward.
I appreciate the fact that she covered alternatives for each of the sound creation or modification areas (VCO, VCA, VCF, sequencer etc )The content level was appropriate for the audience, the basics were covered in 20 minutes and production value was good. One of the more useful intro videos I have seen.
Great video. I may go and buy some modules and a case and create my first modular synth now. Seeing that there is a module that allows you to use a keyboard and you can record your synth using a DAW is great. I may also go and make and effects rack just for mixing.
