Linus Åkesson shared this video demo of the Commodordion – an 8-bit Commodore 64 accordion that it took 40 years for somebody to invent.
The Commodordion is a DIY 8-bit accordion, based on the Commodore 64, with bellows made out of floppy disks.
Details on the project are available at Åkesson’s site.

Him and the Chipophone guy should start a band.
They would need la-la-la guy on vocals for complete package

Unfortunately the original passed away a a few years ago but his 8-bit legacy will always live on.

Åkesson _is_ the Chipophone guy.
If that’s the worst you’ve seen you are probably living a sheltered life.
“sheltered” is probably the wrong word there
You must not get out much.
literally the best post for 2022. and I didn’t bother watching the video.
this is absolutely amazing!!!!
now this is whats up
Also confirmed that it’s impossible to look cool while playing the accordion.
Oh, common! Accordion has two separate keyboards for each hand. He just looks concentrated.
Great fun. This guy knows his SID-chips. Make sure you also watch his take on the Theremin. There is some novel and quite good info on capacitance there..
This makes me unreasonably happy!
This is the best electronic instrument of 2022. Hope, our civilisation will survive long enough, for this to go in serial production.
Arturia version, please.
Fookin Brillyant. This is the bloke who invented the Chipophone, a custom chiptunes organ.
