French instrument maker startup Kiviak Instruments has shared a sneak preview of a new sampling keyboard, the WoFi, via their Instagram and Facebook pages.
The WoFi is a sampling keyboard that can emulate classic samplers. You can sample directly to it, with the microphone or via line in. Sampled sounds can be played using the two-octave keyboard or via the step sequencer. It’s designed for portable convenience and features a built-in speaker.
The keyboard also has cloud integration for seamless patch sharing.
Here’s what they’ve shared in terms of the WoFi’s features:
- Color your sound with classic sampler emulations & player modes.
- Sample whatever you want with the microphone or the line in.
- Full connectivity: stereo audio, MIDI, USB, CV, Gate & Clock.
- Sculpt your sound with the filter and assignable envelope & LFO.
- Elevate your sound with the Texturer.
- Share your patch effortlessly with mywo.fi cloud platform or the cartridge.
- Play with the keys and sequence with the pads.
Official details are still to be announced. It looks like the WoFi keyboard will be making its official debut at Superbooth 2023.
