Edisyn, a free, cross-platform and open source patch editor library, with support for a large number of synthesizers, has added support for the Hydrasynth.
Edisyn provides an editor, a librarian, and a collection of tools for exploratory patch design, as well as support for microtuning scales. It works with MacOS, Windows, and Linux.
Edisyn supports all the Hydrasynth types, but at present does not support Hydrasynth Deluxe Multi patches. Edisyn saves to standard sysex files, not .hydra files. Edisyn can read both 2.0.0 and 1.5.5.
Edisyn is available now as a free download.
Hm, I’ve managed to live JDK-free for the last decade or so. Not terribly excited about ending that streak, but this looks like it might be worth it. A patch editor that works on both my Hydrasynth and K1? And open source? Interesting.
Would be cool, if someone took it to the CTRLR platform too
nobodies home on the weekends. maybe later tonight… (/mod wave; whee!).
