Latvia-based synth maker ELTA Music has introduced Quantum VJ, an 8-bit glitch-style electronic pendant, audio visualizer and video generator.
The Quantum VJ is designed by Arseniy Tokarev, based on a concept by Alexander Zoloto. You can connect a synthesizer, audio player or other sound source to the pendant via a mini-jack input, or have it react to ambient sound, using the built-in microphone.
The Quantum VJ can also be used to visualize electromagnetic interference. There are 9 display modes that can be switched with a button.
Pricing and Availability:
Quantum VJ is available for 55 EURO (excluding VAT and delivery) via ELTA Music and its retailers.
Gosh, welcome to 1989. If ELTA include a panic button on their pendant then all those ancient ‘summer of love’ ravers can call for help when they fall on the dance floor and break a hip.

“great decoration at techno parties”
I’ll rather get two glow sticks for a dollar and save the other 54,- to buy everyone a drink.
It’d be great if you could broadcast it to Airplay or something. That’d make it possible to project to a much larger surface for a show. The visuals actually look pretty cool and reactive.
