Synthesist Hugh R shared this synthesizer arrangement of Johann Pachelbel’s Canon In D.
“I’ve always loved the idea of classical music recreated on synthesizers,” he notes, “so thought id give it a try myself. Recorded using my modular, minilogue and polysix.”
This is not an easy thing to accomplish, no technical parts here, but you need to mix things correctly to allow all the parts to be heard.
with an orchestra, all the parts are played by strings instruments so the conductor needs to keep the volume of each part correctly, here, I think the fact that different patches were chosen for each part made it sound good because in the final mix each part was heard.
