          1. I think the only thing that counts as “power” in all that is more diverse modulators

The rest would be useful for some but not necessarily thing that are helping you make more creative sounds

    1. I can’t judge Tone2’s more recent synths, but judging off claims they have made like this in the past, there isn’t that many synthesis methods. Its a serious reach for them to claim this.

  1. There’s a bit of hype going on, in that oscillator and filter “types” are really just tweaked versions that can save you some time. However, although it has an EDM flavor, its no slouch. You get plenty for the price. Resynthesis, a drum seq & wavetable editing are impressive pluses. Its easy to imagine having this as a central instrument, much like Logic’s Sampler & Alchemy are for me. Tone2 has several worthy synths on offer.

  2. The skeuomorphism is a negative. Given the complexity of the synth the UI is a mess, but an improvement on some of the other Tone2 UIs. When the design of a knob inhibits the ability to read the description of the knob then something is broken. Kilohearts UI / UX gets that right as does Pigments, Massive X and all the other flat UIs.

  3. Tone2 seems to have created a bit of a problem for themselves, because they now have two synths that they say are each the most powerful synth available!
