The latest video from Signal Sounds features guest host The Unperson sharing his take on 5 great algorithms available on the Expert Sleepers Disting mk4 multi-function Eurorack module.
The Expert Sleepers Disting mk4 is a 4HP Eurorack module that’s a sort of Swiss Army Knife for sound. It offers dozens of algorithms, covering all types of audio and CV processing.
While that gives users a lot to love in a compact module, the big downside of this approach is that all the features are presented via a generic, menu-heavy interface that can be pretty opaque, if you’re used to knob-per-function Eurorack modules.

90% of the time my Disting mk4 is sitting at the end of my chain, just being a stereo WAV recorder. If that were the only thing it did, I’d still love it.

How do you connect the ipad to the module?
There’s a jumper on the back. I have an FH-2 which makes it easy and I can get MIDI via USB or a 1/8 converter through the FH-2. So I can connect my computer or all sorts of devices like an OXI One, etc. The FH2 also has some modes that accept things like game controllers or Push.
Without an FH-2 there are DIY ways to do it.
