Moog Format Modular Synth Performance, ‘Cycles Of Life’

Sunday Synth Jam: Synthesizers.com shared the music video for Giulio Carmassi‘s Cycles of Life.

Carmassi’s performance features the sounds of his Box 22 Moog-format modular system. Core to the performance are sequences created with the Dotcom Q119A, a ‘compact’ MU format sequential controller and RP20 Ribbon & Pressure controller.

  1. When listening to the very first bars, who here wasn’t thinking “Is this Pink FLoyd’s Echoes”?

    Be honest.

Of course, later all hell breaks loose. Some of these sounds made me cower behind my sofa. I believe this composer may be experimenting with demonic summoning.
