Bjooks’ New Minimoog Book Now Shipping

Danish book publisher Bjooks – publishers of Push Turn Move, Synth Gems 1, Patch & Tweak and other books for electronic musicians let us know that they are now shipping their latest book, The Minimoog Book.

Production of The Minimoog Book was funded via a Kickstarter project. Bjooks says that backers will get their copies shipped first, and backers will also receive a numbered edition of the book that’s exclusive to backers.

“This is the most comprehensive book we’ve ever created, and it would not have been possible without our loyal fanbase and newcomers – many new to Kickstarter,” commented Bjooks founder Kim Bjørn. “We are proud to produce high-quality, tactile books that feature outstanding design and quality printing – and we know our customers appreciate this as well.”

  1. I’ll keep saying that these are way too expensive for 95% of the people that want to buy these type of books. Most people don’t care about high quality paper that’s being used. In a lifetime you might go through them 10 times so spending 75,- isn’t worth it for most people. (also the shipping costs are too high)

    When these hit 25/35,- I’ll bet sales will go through the roof. Currently I think their sales are probably extremely low. Can we check somewhere how many have actually been sold so far?

    1. In the real world, though, Bjooks has built a great business selling coffee-table style books on electronic music gear. They’ve published 8 of them so far.

      They could do something cheaper, like not interviewing 100 people for a single book and cutting the color illustrations down to a few pages in the middle of the book. But then what would distinguish Bjooks from every other publisher?

      Don’t cheap out on yourself – these books are a treat!
