Pricing and Availability:

cause ‘custom” just means plugging stuff in now? i customized my cereal with sugar this morning. totally custom.
In this case, ‘custom’ refers to the fact that this lets you build a system in the Moog Sound Studio format, using any combination of modules from any manufacture.
WIsh they released the powerbank/mixer on its own. I’ve got a 4-tier rack and this would greatly simplify the cabling/powering!
I’ve seen a few comments on other sites being very negative about the pricing of this bundle.
If it didn’t include the summing mixer, I’d be likely to agree.
However, the summing mixer alone is easily worth 100 – 150 minimum.
That makes the entire bundle quite reasonable.
If your looking at it as just a rack mount, cable and accessories bundle, then yes it’s a bit expensive. However, if you factor in that mixer it’s actually quite well priced.
Yes, there are other options available. But if you want to keep to the Moog aesthetic / feel, this is actually quite a good deal.
The 3-Tier rack is excellent: produces zero noise.
The mixer is all anyone really wanted by itself
Most people already have a rack of some sort if they own a few of these Moogs
Seems a bit superfluous to existing customers needs as is
Guess we’ll have to wait another few years (again) before we see it sold as a individual unit
