Nervous Squirrel Turmoil Module Brings Trigger Delay, Skip & Ratcheting To Eurorack

Nervous Squirrel let us know that they’ve introduced a new Eurorack module, the Turmoil Trigger Disrupter.

The Turmoil module features trigger delay, skip and ratcheting features in a compact Eurorack module. The module is useful for adding controlled unpredictability to any source of triggers.

Key Features:

  • Clock Deflect – this lets you shift triggers forward or backwards from where they would have otherwise occured.
  • Clock Skip – this lets you set the probability of a trigger being passed through.
  • Bursts – you can set the number of times a trigger is repeated (from 1 to 8) to create ‘ratcheting’ style  effects.

A quad version is also available, the Turbulence.

Pricing and Availability:

The modules are available now with the following pricing:

  1. I need to see a full demo of this module.

How does the ratchet feature work? Can you use it to add a triplet ratchet to 25% of the trigs?

    1. Yes, you can set the ratchet number to 3, then turn “Disruption” up by a quarter, then you’ll get a 25% chance of a single trigger input being turned into 3 triggers.
