Hands On With Korg’s PS-3300 Synthesizer

In his latest video, synthesist Sam Battle (LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER) explores the Korg PS-3300 FS synthesizer, a full-size reissue of the original polyphonic analog synth from 1977.

The Korg PS-3300 is essentially three fully-polyphonic synths in one, letting you create complex sounds by layering three different patches. The reissue updates on the original by adding USB MIDI, patch memory and more

Note: Battle is playing one of the few PS-3300 FS synths that is currently available. Details on pricing and availability for the Korg PS-3300 FS are still to be announced.

    1. and still a good price, when originals are listed for 60-80K on Reverb….

I guess these will go like hotcakes….who knows….maybe there will come a smaller version for the rest of us in the future, like they did with ARP 2600 😀

    2. Not everyone can afford one, but that’s not a bad price for that.
For the rest of us, there’s a few very good VST emulations, like the Cherry Audio, or the free one from Full Bucket Music.

  1. Pfft….At that bargain price, I’ll take two. I’ll put them next to my two Schmidt synths. They’re great for drying clothes, and the PS-3300s will be too.

    1. Decent price. The drying clothes idea is pretty cool. I was erring in the side of not purchasing as it certainly wouldn’t fit in my handbag portable set-up. Drying clothes is a good idea though, does it emit a suitable level of heat to reduce drying time?
