The latest Sonic State video captures an overview of the new Ableton Move, the companh’s new four-track standalone sampling groovebox.
Ableton’s Johannes Russ & Brian Mauleon provide an intro to Move and its capabilities, the Move workflow, integration with Live and more.
Great in-depth review. Not the product for me. Very odd it does not fully integrate with Note itself as a controller, bouncing back and forth is really cumbersome. If this thing hooked up to the ipad as the controller it would be way cooler. Idk, this one seems like a miss and I love ableton.
Only 4 tracks – & only 4/4 it seems .
For all Ableton’s spiel about creativity & cutting edge new frontiers ,
it has to be to the count of four .
New ongoing question for Nick when reviewing sequencers maybe –
can it do other time sigs ?
I have Note on my iPad and iPhone plus hundreds more music production apps and most are more capable than Note.
I’m also using Ableton Live Suite 12.1
I just can’t see the reason of using this …
PS; Perhaps that musicians outside Apple eco system can find it more compelling
