Dreadbox has reissued the NYX synthesizer, a compact, semi-modular synth, with an ‘epic’ reverb.
They say that the NYX excels in producing richly harmonic sounds, due to its complex Routing, the Three Modulators, the Dual Filters, the Analog Oscillators and the Reverb, that provide additional movement to the sound and drastically affect its timbre.

- 2 Oscillators with 2 Waveforms each. Separate Glide controls and Hard Sync function
- Dual State Variable Filter 24 or 12dB/oct

I wonder why they re-issued the v1 instead of the v2?
Did people not use the massively expanded patch-bay?
And what about the 2nd generation reverb in the v2?
Let me know what you think! Seems to me that a 2nd hand v2 would be the better buy.
The original had a reverb by Crazy Tube Circuits. The V2 had a worse reverb. Not sure if they used different oscillators. Hopefully since this is a V1 reissue, it should have the original reverb.
As for why the v1 over the v2, I would guess they wanted something eurorack-able, which wouldn’t be easy to do with the v2.
Second possible reason, which only works for me I admit: I prefer the sound of the v1 over the v2. It just had a little more ballsy presence to my ears. And I do own both.
