Organizers of ContinuuCon – an annual electronic music event that focuses on expressive electronic music performance with the Haken Continuum, Expressive E Osmose and other instruments based on the Continuum’s EaganMatrix sound engine – have announced that 2025 edition will return to Paris, France.
ContinuuCon 2025, the seventh international Haken Continuum Conference, will be held in Paris March 26–28. This year’s event will will be hosted by the IRCAM Forum. It will be fully integrated in the IRCAM event, with a room dedicated to ContinuuCon every morning.
Musicians, sound designers, software developers, and music enthusiasts are invited to attend and explore the world of expressive electronic musical instruments through presentations, performances, and hands-on experiences. Over 3 days, Continuum inventor and EaganMatrix developers Lippold Haken, Edmund Eagan and Christophe Duquesne will join other experts and some of the world’s most talented Continuum players to share their expertise and technical knowledge.
The IRCAM Forum, held each year by the Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music, offers an immersion into the latest technological developments from IRCAM’s research and development laboratories and gives Forum members the opportunity to come and present their projects, developments and research.
Call For Presentations
Organizers have also announced a Call For Presentations. If you have an idea for a presentation, submit an informal proposal to [email protected] as soon as you can. Presentations that incorporate some performance aspect are preferred. Presentations should be 30 to 45 minutes in length. Applications will no longer be accepted after the available slots have been assigned.
The integration of ContinuuCon 2025 with the IRCAM Forum will allow attendees to benefit from all the other conferences of the Forum.
