Analogue Solutions Previews TC5000 Monster Synth With Wings

Analogue Solutions shared this preview of their design for ‘wing’ cases for their upcoming TC5000 monster synth.

The Analogue Solutions TC5000 is an analog modular synthesizer with a user interface that’s inspired by the iconic ARP 2500. The TC5000 copies the overall look of the ARP 2500, but features modules based on Analogue Solutions’ own circuits. The TC500 also uses a pin matrix patch interface, vs the matrix switch interface of the 2500.

Some of the TC5000 modules are adapted from the company’s existing synths, like Leipzig, Telemark and Fusebox, and some are new designs, specific to the TC5000.

Pricing and Availability:

The Analogue Solutions TC5000 is available now to pre-order, priced at 22,000 GBP (exc. tax and shipping), with shipping expected towards the end of 2024. Details on the TC5000 Wing racks has not been announced.

    1. It makes you realize why the ARP interface was sort of an evolutionary dead end for synth interface design.

It’s a cool interface, but literally 2/3rds of the ARP 2500 cabinet is devoted to patching, not modules. This seems like it would only make sense for people with a really big studio space.

  1. Ideal YouTube video:
“Giant synthesizer tips over, squashes owner like a bug”
Cue: massive resonant fart patch. SPLORTCH!

  2. I was a big fan of Analogue Solutions. I own a Telemark V2, Leipzig V3 and Fusebox, but I’m priced out of Tom’s offerings now. I’m sure business must be good, but it would be nice to release things mortals can afford.

  3. Orphan: T.O.N.T.O. was made of components from multiple companies. Almost everything available at the time was in there somewhere. It was also mega-analog. Today, its hard to imagine that same kind of variety anywhere outside the studios of JMJ or BT. It would also be a bit of a battle between the analog and digital sides.

I love gaping at photos of the thing like any other synth fan, but now, power-wise, anyone can have that same means in a desktop. Most of its parts are available as software. Get a giant monitor and go to town, seeker!

  4. Only a little over 20 grand? Pfft. I’ll take two. I can put them next to my two Schmidts and my two Colossus synths. After they warm up, they’re great for drying sweaters.
