Native Instruments Holiday Sale Features Up To 90% Off On Software & Hardware, Freebies & More

Native Instruments let us know about their ‘Cyber Season’ sale – which offers a wide range of deals, including $19 virtual synths, 20% off on their new Conflux hybrid instrument, 50% off Massive X and Komplete 15, 90% off of the 8Dio Epic Symphony Bundle and deals on NI hardware.

It’s a big sale, and Native’s holiday sales prices have historically been some of their best deals of the year. They asked us to help share the news, so we decided to take a hard look at what’s on sale, and to highlight what we think are some of the most interesting deals for Synthtopia readers:

20% off on Conflux – Conflux is NI’s latest software instrument. It’s based on NI’s new Kontakt 8 platform, and brings real-time wavetable and frequency modulation into Kontakt for the first time.

Conflux is a hybrid instrument, layering samples with a wavetable oscillator, which includes the original PPG wavetables. It’s designed to let you layer organic and synthetic samples, and to add dynamic movement to static sounds in real time. The intro video, embedded above, offers a preview of how it sounds.

It’s also designed to be very straightforward to use.

Conflux opens to the Play page, below, which gives you a concise set of controls for performance. The headings at the top right let you toggle between the Play, Edit and Settings screens.

The Performance Controls, along the bottom of the screen, make key performance parameters available across all the views.

The Edit page, below, offers access to the main effects and parameters. This lets you create new sounds, using techniques like FM, phase modulation, and ring modulation:

For a deeper dive, here’s an overview and demo of Conflux, via Pete Checkley at The Sampleist:

Conflux is included with Kontakt 8 and in bundles that include Kontakt 8 (like Komplete 15). Conflux is also available to purchase by itself, and will run in the free Kontakt 8 Player.

For more info, see the NI site for Kontakt 8 details and the Conflux manual.

Beyond Conflux and Kontakt 8, Native has a lot of other holiday deals on its software synths.

  • 50% off Massive X – Massive X, above, is NI’s flagship software synth. It features oscillators with 170 wavetables, with 10 different modes of reading them; modular patchability; a complete section dedicated to modulation; a library of filters; insert effects for sound design; and stereo effects for finishing your sound.
  • $19 software synths – In addition to deals on their latest introductions, Native is offering classic software synths like FM8, Massive, Razor, Monark and more for $19 each.

In addition to the synth deals, Native Instruments is offering 50% off Komplete 15.

Komplete is an all-you-can-eat buffet of their virtual instruments and studio software. It’s been a popular option over the years, because it’s so comprehensive, and it is now in its 15th generation.

There are three versions of Komplete – Standard, Ultimate & Collectors’ Edition – and all are included in the sale.

Here’s a summary of what you get:

Native Instruments Komplete Standard:

  • 47 sampled instruments, including their flagship sampler, Kontakt 8. Some of the highlights include their new Conflux hybrid synth; the two Electric Keys instruments; their Session Bassist and Session Guitarist instruments; and Noire, which features the sound of Nils Frahm’s concert grand piano, recorded at his studio in the Funkhaus in Berlin.
  • 15 software synthesizers that cover a huge sonic territory. Highlights include Massive X, which is their flagship wavetable synth; Reaktor 6, which is a complete modular synthesis platform;  Monark, which is NI’s take on the classic analog monosynth; and FM8, which is known for making classic FM synthesis easy to use.
  • 12 drums and percussion instruments, including Battery 4, their flagship drum sampler. Highlights include Polyplex, an 8-part drum sampler with interesting randomization capabilities; Drumlab, which makes it easy to create drum kits with layered hybrid acoustic/electronic sounds; Abbey Road 60s Drummer & Butch Vig Drums, which feature iconic drum sounds; and West Africa, which features the sounds of djembe, dunun, bells, kora, ngoni and more.
  • 21 Effects – this is a comprehensive collection of studio effects, including drive, bitcrushing, dynamics, EQ, flanging, phasing and more. Highlights include: iZotope Trash for distortion; Raum for reverb effects; and The Finger, a multi-effects performance processor, based on the live setup of producer Tim Exile.
  • 53 Expansions – these sound libraries include samples, presets and kits that expand the sonic range of the synths and instruments in Komplete.

Komplete 15 Ultimate expands on Standard, adding orchestral instruments and more of everything:

  • 28 Orchestral and cinematic instruments – this is one of the main areas where Ultimate expands on Standard, offering Symphonic Essentials orchestral instruments, solo violin, cinematic instruments, instruments tailored to soundtrack work and more.
  • 18 synthesizers – Ultimate adds three synths, Flesh, Razor and Skanner XT.
  • 56 sampled instruments – Ultimate adds instruments like Alicia’s Keys and Alicia’s Electric Keys, and a much larger collection of bass, guitar and percussion instruments.
  • 19 drums and percussion instruments
  • 29 effects
  • 83 Expansions

Komplete 15 Collector’s Edition is their biggest bundle, expanding the orchestral capabilities and more:

  • 35 orchestral and cinematic instruments – this adds more solo instruments, vocal instruments, their complete Action Suite and more.
  • 19 synthesizers – this adds Knifonium to what you get with the Ultimate edition.
  • 58 sampled instruments
  • 19 drum and percussion libraries
  • 30 effects
  • 127 Expansions

In addition to offering 50% off the full versions of Komplete 15 Standard, Ultimate, and Collectors’ Edition, Native is offering 20% off on upgrades.

iZotope deals – iZotope makes a range of professional software tools for mixing, mastering and music production. They joined forces with NI in 2022, and now are part of the Native Instruments brand.

Their deals include discounts on iZotope Elements Suite, RX post Production Suite, their Mix and Master Bundle, Nectar, Ozone and more.

In addition to the deals on their software instruments, effects and production tools, Native is offering deals on its hardware instruments and controllers.

This includes specials on Mashine and Maschine Mikro; Maschine+ standalone groovebox & sampler; the Kontrol line of keyboard controllers; and Traktor X1 DJ controller.
