Tangerine Dream: Zeitraffer Exhibit Coming To Frankfurt April 7, 2025

Frankfurt’s Museum Of Modern Electronic Music (MOMEM) has announced that Tangerine Dream: Zeitraffer, an exhibit that tells the story of the pioneering synth group, through previously unseen footage, unpublished articles and original synthesizers, will open in April.

The exhibit debuted in London at the The Barbican Music Library in 2021. Here’s the preview from that showing:

Family and band members are expected to attend the opening on April 6, 2025 from 7 p.m. at MOMEM, and on April 7, 2025 Tangerine Dream will play a concert at the Alte Oper to mark the 10th anniversary of Edgar Froese’s death. Ticket holders for the concert pay reduced admission to MOMEM.

An extensive supporting program is being planned for the exhibition “Tangerine Dream: Zeitraffer”, with readings, lectures, film screenings and talks.

The exhibit runs 07.04.2025 until 28.09.2025. See the MOMEM site for details and ticket info.

  1. T-Dream opened my whole brain. They’re part of my basic holy trinity, along with Mike Oldfield and King Crimson. There’s a secondary rank of greats like Wendy Carlos & Porcupine Tree, too.
