i really want to try these someday.
Tip Top is everything B could never be simply because they understand how to do business in the synth world.
well there was that stackcables debacle
They didn’t come out of that looking too good
You’re right also I never said TTa was perfect
lol.
I’ve got most of the TTA/Buchla series, and a variety of Behringer modules, including some of the Moog and ARP copies. The Tiptop modules are really on another level.
Their design is much better, their build is better, and they reflect a better understanding of synthesis and what’s needed from a good Eurorack module. They are real, no-compromise Buchla modules, updated to integrate perfectly into Eurorack systems.
Behringer’s ARP copies are designed very well, but you can see where the designer had to compromise on build. The Moog modular copies are disappointing to me, because Behringer seems to know how to copy old designs, but not how to make old designs work well as good Eurorack modules. So for example, you have to deal with archaic trigger/gate incompatibilities, modules that take up a lot of space to do things that shouldn’t be needed, etc.
