Antonus 3620 Keyboard Controller Brings ARP 3620 Design Into A Modern MIDI/CV Instrument

The Antonus 3620 is a full-size keyboard controller designed around the form and control philosophy of the original ARP 3620.

It provides simultaneous MIDI and CV operation and can function with Antonus instruments or as a standalone controller for other synthesizers and devices. CV operation supports monophonic, duophonic, biphonic and bi-timbral modes, while MIDI supports full polyphony and bi-timbral split operation.

The instrument features a Fatar keybed with velocity and aftertouch, along with CV-controlled portamento, interval latch, LFO synchronization, two random generators, an arpeggiator and step sequencer. Its control system is designed without a display or menu-based interface.

  1. Interesting, I don’t think there is another standard keys keyboard that is both midi and cv and has this cv immediacy avoiding menu diving.

    1. Doesn’t have all of the features but for a few hundred more the Matriarch gets pretty close. Plus, it includes a pretty nice synth. 🙂

Not panning this 3620 at all. Seems an absolutely lovely thing. The red case version on their site is drool inducing.

  2. I’m impressed. If I was into modular, this would be a serious central buy. Those specs are extremely accomodating. A list of what it won’t do would be shorter! ARP 2600 owners in particular, start your engines. Well, your wallets.
