Arturia has introdued Farfisa V, a software recreation of the Farfisa Compact Deluxe, with some additional features from the Duo Compact series. The new virtual organ, for Mac & Windows, uses physical modeling to emulate the original. Arturia says that they modeled the real behavior of each component, right down to the transistors, oscillators, filters and built-in effects.

Developer Erik Sigth has introduced Strng – a iOS string synthesiser, inspired by the Karplus-Strong algorithm. In Karplus-Strong synthesis, an exciter impulse – like a burst of noise – is looped through a filtered delay line. This model can be used to simulate the way sounds resonate within some types of instruments.
Developer Richard Meyer – creator of Patch Morpher – has introduced Zed Synth – a new software synthesizer for iPhone & iPad. Zed Synthc combines virtual analog synthesis with physical modeling synthesis, letting you create ‘rich and immersive sounds’, ranging from bright electronic dance music patches to subtle and expressive solo instruments.
