Superbooth 16: Rossum Electro-Music has introduced the Assimil8or, an 8-channel sampler for Eurorack modular synthesizers. The Assimil8or Multi-Timbral Phase Modulation Sampler provides eight independent channels of sampling, with sound quality that can range from extremely hi-fi to low fi, all with extensive real-time CV control.
At the 2016 NAMM Show, we talked with synthesizer pioneer Dave Rossum, who co-founded E-Mu Systems in 1971 and created the E-Mu Modular System. Rossum has a new company, Rossum Electro-Music. In the video above, Rossum tells the story of his new company and introduces his four new Eurorack modules.
