Elektron Digitakt II Review & Comparison To Original

In his latest loopop video, host Ziv Eliraz offers an in-depth review of the new Elektron Digitakt II sampling drum machine & sequencer.

The Digitakt II is a major update to the original design, offering more sample memory, more internal storage, 16 tracks, support for stereo samples, longer sequences, new FLTR machine options, 3 LFOs per track, new effects, and more.

“The Digitakt II improves on the original in almost every way possible,” says Eliraz.

  1. Now i want to see these new buttons and updated ui for the Syntakt.
But i guess this will not happen since the syntakt is so young.

And for the Digitakt. Guess this update is exactly what users asked for!

    1. It really is very expensive for what it offers. I want to like it beyond a doubt because at first look its ticking all the boxes but after rethinking , it doesn`t unfortunately

    2. After 7 years I’ve heard nobody complain about the buttons, actually people seem to love them.
It can do polyphony but it’s cumbersome, they need to fix that asap (they could with an update and hopefully they will).
No SD slot isn’t really a problem as there are other options.
Expensive? Lol there’s nothing in the market that comes close in that price category or even more expensive samplers.
It doesn’t do everything but what it does beats everything else out there.

  2. its more like a MKII

but i guess the new elektron is done with that kind of designation…

the same way they are done making innovations with their gear… and instead just rehash the same thing over and over
