AAS Multiphonics CV-2 Updated With 5 New Modules, 30 New Patches

Applied Acoustics Systems has released version 2.2 of its Multiphonics CV-2 modular synthesizer for macOS and Windows.

The say that Multiphonics CV-2  v2.2 is “a thematic update dedicated to pitch and dynamics”. It adds five new modules to the Multiphonics library: a pitch detector, a pitch shifter, an envelope follower, an RMS extractor, and a useful arithmetic module.

The update also includes 30 new factory synthesizer and effects patches highlighting the new modules.

“With these additions to our modular library, our aim was to broaden the scope of the FX version which was introduced with Multiphonics CV-2” says Benoit Charland, lead product manager at Applied Acoustics Systems, “These new modules were specifically designed to create volume and pitch effects such as compressors, expanders, limiters, auto-filters, tracking filters, auto-tuning, harmonizers, and pitch shifters. They open up a whole new world of creative possibilities as is showcased in the new patches which we had a lot of fun creating for this update in collaboration with sound designer and long-time collaborator Adam Pietruskzo.“

Pricing and Availability:

Multiphonics CV-2 is available for $99 USD, normally $149. Multiphonics CV-2 runs on both macOS and Windows in 64-bit host sequencers that support the VST2, VST3, Audio Units, and AAX Native formats.

The update is free of charge for registered Multiphonics CV-2 users.

  1. 10 yeas ago this would have been an OK VST, but with VCV Rack existing with 1000’s of excellent modules (many free and from leading developers), this seems somewhat redundant.

  2. They keep doing this, AAS that is. I have their bundle but i only really care about chrompahone. Everything else is prety much unusable. I used to own Tassman, and we all know how that ended up. So yeah, i don’t really care if they update or not this, its just a boring vst.

    1. I think the same. Chromaphone is amazing but everything else is not really something you need. And compared to vcv this is a big joke.
